The aim of this study was to determine the long-term and short-term relationship of the factors that affect the absorption of labor in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. The method used is the Error Correction Model (ECM). The type of data used is time series data for 1990-2020. The results show that in the long term the variable of the provincial minimum wage has a significant positive effect, the population variable has an insignificant negative effect, and the investment variable has a significant negative effect on employment. Meanwhile, in the short term, the variable of the provincial minimum wage has a significant positive effect, the population variable has a non-significant positive effect, and the investment variable has a significant positive effect on employment.
